Researchers John Slabaugh and Glen Peters report that, of three Mangold / Mangolt families in that area, each with a daughter named Anna, this family seems more likely since this Anna would have been 21 when the marriage to Heinrich Lauber took place, while the other two Anna Mangolds would have been 17 and 18. Also, there are children of Heinrich and Anna named after other family members in Sebastian Mangolt's and Anna Keyser's family.

This surname may also have been spelled MANGOLT.

She was baptized on 1 Nov 1586 in Boeckten, Sissach Parish, Basel, Switzerland.⁽⁶⁹⁸²⁾ She died in Lampenberg, Switzerland.⁽⁶⁹⁸³⁾ It is not proven conclusively that this Anna Mangold was the wife of Heinrich Lauber. Researchers John Slabaugh, and particularly Glen Peters, based on records in Salt Lake City LDS Library, concludes that this family is the most likely. There are three Mangold families with daughters named Anna. This Anna is 21, while the other two Annas are 17 and 18 years old. Also, there are children named by Anna and Heinrich that more closely match children in Anna's birth family. The other two Mangold families are recorded in this database pending new research information. Those families are headed by (1) Friedrich Mangold and Barbara Greider, and (2) Friedrich or Jacob Mangold and Elsbeth Rippstein..

There are other LDS records to show an Anna MANGOLT, daughter of Fridlin MANGOLT #2829, is listed as marrying a Heini LAUBER on the same marriage date as this Anna. If this is accurate, there is a strong possiblity that Fridlin is Anna's parents. More evidence is needed. Parents: (?) Sebastian MANGOLD and (?) Anna KEYSER.
