This would have place her birth year no later than 1821, although her obituary states she was born on 22 Nov 1822. She resided in 1850 in Antis Township, Bellwood, Blair Co., Pa..⁽⁸⁴⁸⁾ She died on 22 Jan 1922 in Hollidaysburg, Blair Co., Pa..⁽⁸⁴⁹⁾ The obituary of her husband Thomas Delaney states that she died two years prior his death. If Thomas's date of birth recorded in his obituary is correct, 4 March 1820, that would have made him 104 years old! This raises the strong possibility that the date of death for Sarah is not correct.

Another source, the obituary of Sarah, states that she was born 22 Nov 1822, which would have made her almost 100 when she died. Again, the date of death needs to be rechecked. She resided Blair St. - Hollidaysburg on date of death in Hollidaysburg, Blair Co., Pa..⁽⁸⁵⁰⁾ She was First Baptist in Hollidaysburg, Blair Co., Pa..⁽⁸⁵¹⁾ She was buried in McIntyre Cemetery, Hollidaysburg, Blair Co., PA.⁽⁸⁵²⁾ The death certificate of Emma Delaney Hostler appears to show the maiden name as possibly "Bowen." The Fairview Cemetery records show the name as Baro. However, news clippings and genealogy files shown to me by Nancy Miller record the name as Barto. Barto at this time appears to be the correct maiden name as there are a number of Barto's buried at Fairview and in other Blair County records. Parents: William BARTO and Ellen ----.
