James Nash, Yoeman of Horsham Twp. Philadelphia County wrote his will Jan 26, 1749, Proved Feb. 20, 1750. Will No. 142. He left a widow and one son under 14 years. Brothers William (175) and Joseph (381) were executors. Son John was to receive his share when 21. William and Joseph rendered account of their stewardship May 17, 1751. The final accounting was made by Joseph, surviving executor, but was only entered in the official record Aug. 4, 1769m 17 months after his death.

Page 880b shows John Nash, Assessment of Horsham Twp. 1776, 2h,2c. Also shows Samuel Collet, single man. Note: Upper Dublin not regarded as Twp. before 1719. In 1705 it was regarded as Abington Twp. It seems that John Nash and Joseph Nash were brothers and their parents were John Nash (379) and Ann Colley.

I noted Joseph Nash-100 be the same Joseph Nash on whom a raid was made by the British while they held possession of Phila. He was awarded 200 pounds for damages. Assessment of Upper Dublin 1776 shows Joseph Nash: 100 acres, 2h, 2c. The above would be Joseph Nash 178. This Joseph Nash 381 died in 1768. Joseph Nash, blacksmith of Upper Dublin Twp. wrote his will Dec. 1 1776 [sic-1767?]. Proved March 5 1768. This Joseph is the brother of William, 175, and son of John Nash and Ann Colley. Witnesses were John Fitzwater and Isaac Knight. Will No. 156 for year 1768. Parents: John NASH and Ann COLLEY.
